When Katy moves to West Virginia because her mom feels the need to start over, she feels like her life is pretty much over, but when she spots the hot neighbor, things are looking up... until he opens his mouth. Despite how annoying and infuriating Daemon Black is, Katy becomes close friends with his twin sister, Dee. As Dee and Katy grow closer, that's when she starts to notice something weird about the twins. And the secret the two are hiding is more complicated than anything Katy could imagine.

I LOVED THIS BOOK! Okay, I'll admit it's not the best, most poetic, beautiful writing, but that is part of what makes it awesome. Katy, the narrator, is so sarcastic and funny and I love reading her point of view. And Daemon. Oh. My. Gosh. He is the best. I thought how fast he could think of insults and then be really sweet and how much it weirded Katy out was awesome. Not only did I fall in love with the main cast of characters, but the supporting characters, too, like Katy's mom and her two other friends, Lesa and Carissa. Jennifer L. Armentrout does a fantastic job of making all of her characters stand out, no matter how big or small their role is. The author does a great job of making you hate and absolutely love the right characters. I think one of the best parts of this book is the writing, although it isn't considered the "best", I think it is exactly how a person would be thinking. If you were in a life and death situation, you wouldn't be thinking about how wonderful your life was and that you are ready to die, you're going to be screaming in your head that you don't want to die, especially if you are a teenager. The romance is amazing, because it is obvious that they both really liked each other, but they also really hate each other. Overall, I really loved this book and read it in record time (I read it faster than The Fault In Out Stars which says something). I need the second book right now.
