Back to School Tag

I was tagged to do this by the creator, Athena, from InToTheMindOfAReader! Thank you for tagging me and creating this amazing tag! Basically, you answer questions about school and books and it's great fun! Let's do this!

  1. You've just started back and your workload has already increased. Which short book would you read that wouldn't take up too much time? I would choose to read Capture by Erica Stevens. I have not yet read this book and I really want to. Its a little over 150 pages and about vampires, royalty, a rebellion, and tons of fun stuff.
  2. You are in English class and your teacher says you will be spending the lesson reading an assigned book. What book did you have to read for school, but ended up really enjoying? I had to read Peace Like A River by Leif Enger back in eighth grade and I really enjoyed it. If I hadn't read it for class, I would have never discovered it. Unfortunately, my class didn't get to read all of it and kind of skipped around because the author goes off on tangents. I would highly recommend it to everyone.
  3. You and your friends have had an argument and you are feeling quite upset. What book never fails to cheer you up? A book that never fails to cheer me up is the Lightning Thief by Rick Riordan. This books has so many jokes in it and was the first book that got me into reading, so it has so many wonderful memories as well.
  4. You've been given detention. What book do you wish you have that could pass the time? I would love to have The One by Kiera Cass. I read that book in one sitting (with the exception of stopping for food, of course). The book is really short and has a lot going on, so I think it would be an excellent book to pass the time, though I would never get detention.
  5. The bell rings for lunch time! Name a food from a book you would love to try. Butterbeer! I know everyone says this, but I really want to try some butterbeer.
  6. You have a ton of homework to do and one of your assignments is to write a short story. What author's writing style do you most enjoy reading? I most enjoy reading Rick Yancey's writing style because it can be so beautiful and metaphoric and then very sarcastic the next.
  7. Uh oh, exam time! The nerves are getting to you. Which book do you read to calm yourself down? City of Bones by Cassandra Clare. City of Bones has so many laughs and all of my favorite characters, so I think this book would cheer me up the most.
  8. You did amazingly well on your exams and are given some money as a reward. What book(s) do you rush out to buy? I would rush out and buy the Assassin's Curse and the Pirate's Wish by Cassandra Rose Clarke. The publishing company for these books is going out of business and will stop printing all of their books, so I would really like to get a hand on those books.
  9. Summer is almost upon us. What book do you read to get you into the mood for the fun and excitement that summer brings? I would choose This Is What Happy Looks Like by Jennifer E. Smith. This is the third contemporary book that I ever read and it was by far the one that made me the happiest and I think it would get me into the summer mood.
There it is! I hope you enjoyed reading the tag and feel free to do it yourself and say I tagged you!
