September Book Haul 2014

I actually got a good number of books this months. Not too much, not too little and I only bought one of them, which is super awesome. LET'S DO THIS THING!!!

The first book that I got is Firehouse by David Halberstam. I had to get this book for school and so far I am enjoying it. It is a nonfiction book on 9-11, more specifically the firehouse that was the main respondents to the events in New York City. I find what happened on 9-11 really interesting to learn about, even though it makes me super sad.

The next four books I got are for my birthday (October 5th, just saying) from my grandma. I got these books just yesterday.

The first one of this bunch is The Pirate's Wish by Cassandra Rose Clarke. I know this is the second book to the Assassin's Curse and there is another book on the way, so I'm hoping it's that one. At least I have this one before all of the copies are gone. I'm not really going to go into the detail about this one because it is a sequel and I haven't read the first one.

I also got Crown of Midnight by Sarah J. Maas. If you all remember, I hauled Throne of Glass last month... and no, I haven't read it yet. I know, shame on me, but now I have the second one and I can just marathon the two. This is also a sequel, so I'm not going to go into detail.

I then received the Unbecoming of Mara Dyer!!! I can now buddy read it with my friend and I've been wanting to read this one for such a long time and I finally have it! THANK YOU, GRANDMA!!! This book is about a girl who wakes up in a hospital of no memory of the accident that killed her friends. It sounds so mysterious and awesome and intense and a lot of other adjectives.

The very last book I got in September is Monument 14 by Emmy Laybourne. This book caught my eye a while ago because I love books where kids are trapped somewhere or are experiencing an apocalypse. This one, as I said, is about a group of kids trapped in a superstore, kind of like a Walmart, while the world is ending outside the door. Sounds like a party to me.

There it is! I don't have an overwhelming amount of books this month, but I am so excited about the ones I do have and I want to read them all now, but I can't read more than one book at once because it messes with my head. If you have read any of these books or would like to, leave a comment down below!
