The 5th Wave by Rick Yancey Spoiler Review

Now... SPOILERS!!! I thought that sometimes both Cassie and Ben (or Zombie, whichever you prefer) could be annoying narrators at times, but mostly because we knew things they did not. Now, onto the Evan weirdness. I thought Evan was very sweet and smart, but could be a huge creeper. Evan really needed to watch what he was saying to make it less obvious that he was a total stalker. And reading her diary? Come on, man. And the "showing her who he was" in all his alien glory was very weird and I would have run away or cried or both if that happened to me. The would be utterly terrifying to find out the guy you've been hiding out with and kind of starting to have feelings for was the same guy who tried to kill you! And Ben was just awesome. Ben was a great leader and very smart, though he should have figured out what Vosch and his crew were up to sooner.
About the Infinite Sea (which is also one of the sections in The 5th Wave), coming out September 16th, I have a few predictions. Number 1: Evan is not dead. He can't be. Evan is as much of a main character as Cassie and Ben. I believe that he will find Cassie and they will live happily ever after... well, sort of. I think that when Evan reunited with Cassie, they will be the outsiders of the group and pushed out by Ringer, Tea Cup, and the rest of Ben's crew. I think that the relationships will get even more complicated as well. I think that Evan and Ben will not like each other; they will put up with each other for the good of the group, but aren't too happy about it. Same goes for Cassie and Ringer. Cassie and Evan's relationship will only grow stronger though Cassie may have some doubts because she and Ben are starting to like each other. I think Ringer will only get more distant from everyone, especially Ben. Sound complicated? I know. All in all, I can't wait for the Infinite Sea and loved everything about The 5th Wave. Feel free to discuss further in the comments and here is my favorite quote from The 5th Wave:

"When that moment comes- and it always comes- when your life teeters between getting up and giving up and you can't get up and you can't give up, here's what you do: Crawl." (pg. 419)
